History
Science Explorers began in 1993 when Lori Lenz, Ed.S. decided to use her experience and expertise as a teacher, principal and a college instructor to help children develop their creative and problem solving skills through science. She began with just a few programs, piloting and refining her ideas until she was sure that the curriculum she developed was the best. Since then, Science Explorers has grown to serve thousands of families across Minnesota as well as western Wisconsin with engaging classes and STEM kits.
What is Science Explorer's PHILOSOPHY? |
Children are naturally drawn to science because of its almost magical qualities. Science sparks wonder and imagination in children and allows them to use their natural curiosity for discoveries. Science Explorers understands children and their need to learn more about their environment and the world. Science Explorers’ activities challenge children to develop their creative and divergent thinking skills by providing “hands-on” activities and experiments that encourage children to try different solutions. Gaining these skills will help children throughout their entire lives.
