Welcome!

“Awesome!”, “This is the best class ever!”, “Are we done already?”. These are the type of comments we hear all the time from the children enrolled in our Science Explorers classes. It’s no accident that children feel this way about our classes. The Science Explorers program was started by an experienced educator and is taught by instructors all dedicated to the common goal of helping children learn about their world through science.

Science Explorers Classes are:
  • Hands-On
  • Exciting and Fun
  • Educational
  • Taught by Experienced Instructors

History

Science Explorers began in 1993 when Lori Lenz, Ed.S. decided to use her experience and expertise as a teacher, principal and a college instructor to help children develop their creative and problem solving skills through science. She began with just a few programs, piloting and refining her ideas until she was sure that the curriculum she developed was the best. Since then, Science Explorers has grown to serve thousands of families across the Twin Cities area as well as central and southern Minnesota & western Wisconsin.

What is Science Explorer's PHILOSOPHY?

PictureExtreme Bubble Science
Children are naturally drawn to science because of its almost magical qualities. Science sparks wonder and imagination in children and allows them to use their natural curiosity for discoveries. Science Explorers understands children and their need to learn more about their environment and the world. Science Explorers’ activities challenge children to develop their creative and divergent thinking skills by providing “hands-on” activities and experiments that encourages children to try different solutions. Gaining these skills will help children throughout their entire life.

No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong. --Albert Einstein
